These protective windows are made with high-impact and feature external oleophobic coatings that are resistant to water, oils and fingerprint smudging. The MidOpt® Protective Windows below are designed to withstand harsh environments. They also feature external oleophobic coatings.

HEAT RESISTANCE
The windows perform well in high-temperature applications, having the ability to withstand temperatures of up to 1100° C. They are also chemical resistant and have superior transmission in the UV through near infrared spectral ranges.

IMPACT RESISTANCE
Sapphire is stronger than standard glass and has a very durable surface to withstand very harsh environments. These windows are also resistant to high impact, chemicals and alkalis and transmit wavelengths ranging from UV, VIS and short-wave infrared (SWIR).

THERMAL IMAGING
MidOpt® SiLWIR™ pure-grade silicon Protective Windows specially designed for LWIR (8-12µm) offer superior abrasion resistance and reliable performance in harsh environments. They’re diamond-like carbon (DLC) and double-sided anti-reflection (AR) coated, and offer 2x the strength of germanium (drop ball tested).
