HEAT RESISTANCE
The windows perform well in high-temperature applications, having the ability to withstand temperatures of up to 1100° C. They are also chemical resistant and have superior transmission in the UV through near infrared spectral ranges.

IMPACT RESISTANCE
Sapphire is stronger than standard glass and has a very durable surface to withstand very harsh environments. These windows are also resistant to high impact, chemicals and alkalis and transmit wavelengths ranging from UV, VIS and short-wave infrared (SWIR).

THERMAL IMAGING
The MIDOPT® Germanium window has a DLC (diamond-like carbon) coating and is ideal for Thermal Imaging. It is abrasion-resistant and can withstand harsh environments and also has a 7.5–12.5 micron useful range.
