Filtering Uncontrolled Ambient Light in Robotic Bin Picking
Many applications that use 3D Structured Light to ‘visualize’ tasks, such as robotic bin picking, typically use red light sources. However, ambient light can interfere with robotic vision systems. The solution to this is using a bandpass filter that matches this red light light source, which can filter the ambient light, providing excellent contrast to help with accurate and consistent picking.
