UV Fluorescence Paint Marker Inspection
When a railroad tie with a metal endplate runs through vision inspection, a UV (325nm) light is used with a BP525 Light Green Bandpass Filter to ignore (block) the reflection from the end-plate and pass only the emission of the fluorescent paint marker in order to determine orientation of the tie.
