Beamsplitters

Beamsplitters are available in various thicknesses from 0.5 to 3.0mm, for specific wavelength ranges from visible to IR, and in various transmission/reflection ratios. An anti-reflection coating comes standard on all Beamsplitters.

Beamsplitter types include:Reflection vs. Tranmission options:
• Cubes
• Plates
• Pellicles
• 80/20
• 50/50
• 30/70

Beamsplitter Construction

Advantages:
Cube Beamsplitters: • No beam shift
• Equal reflected and transmitted light
• Shorten the path of a system
Plate Beamsplitters:• Cost-effective
• Lightweight
• A wide range of sizes are available

Common Applications

  • In-Line illumination for microscopy, and inspection of specular objects, such as semiconductor wafers.
  • Image combining for augmented reality applications
  • Fluorescence microscopy
  • Interferometry
